As we continue to expand our operations, we seek skilled Production Operators to join our team.
As part of the production team, you will be responsible for the manufacture of our hammers and mallets, to meet customer orders for both domestic and overseas clients.
Main duties/key tasks/key result areas
- Assembling hammer heads and handles using semi-automated machinery.
- Ensuring flush alignment of wedges and handles using milling machines.
- Preparation of component parts prior to hammer assembly.
- Insertion of faces into the hammer heads.
- Labelling and distribution preparation.
Candidate Profile
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with good teamwork and communication skills.
- Demonstrate high levels of attention, focus and precision
- Able to operate semi-automated machinery (training will be given).
Experience/Qualifications
As some of our products and processes are bespoke, full training will be given. However: -
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred
- Knowledge of working with hand tools and machinery is an advantage
- Ability to follow safe working practices is essential.
Remuneration
Salary: £12.50 p/hr during a probationary period, rising to £13.25 p/hr upon satisfactory completion.
Bonus: Production bonuses are paid 6 monthly, based on overall manufacturing KPI’s
Benefits: Contributory pension scheme
Holidays: 25 days plus UK bank holidays
Hours: 37 per week. Monday – Thursday 07:00-16:45 including breaks.
