Together with our growing mix of accredited investors, family offices, and institutional investors, we provide financing for permanent real estate mortgage loans under the United States SBA program, construction loans, traditional secured loans, small balance unsecured loans and bridge loans. Our company has launched two platforms recently - a small business lending platform (LendThrive™) that will drive online originations for small balance lending on working capital, equipment, inventory and accounts receivable. Duties and Responsibilities


  • Responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyse financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures; and will specifically perform and be responsible for accounting functions in the lending lines of business and bank acquisition.
  • Actively supports AVANA Companies month-end closing as well as the internal and external reporting processes relating to tax and loan accounting and as assigned by direct superior or management.
  • Perform loan fundings, loan payoff tasks as assigned and ad hoc GL analysis and reporting as necessary.
  • Prepare loan and tax supporting information for the related disclosures in the Corporation’s Regulatory and SEC Reports.
  • Maintains the tax model schedule up to date to ensure conformity with GAAP.
  • Prepare and review (a) schedules and analyses related to portfolio and earnings of investors/CU; (b) supporting information to quarterly investor materials, (c) Board Packages, SEC and Call Report schedules as assigned.
  • Prepares daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reconciliations as assigned.
  • Monthly variance analysis review. Review account activity and transactions, and provide in-depth analysis as requested to ensure accuracy of GL, which will support accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments throughout the monthly credit review process and annual audits.
  • Assists in preparing supporting documents for financial/accounting reports.
  • Calculates capital account balances for investors, including management and performance fees.
  • Collaborate with the team in the creation of new procedures/controls, management reports, dashboards that will be helpful in decision making policies to continuously improve the efficiencies of accounting processes and standardize documentations.

Required Education and Qualification


  • At least 10 years total experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any Finance related courses
  • MUST BE a Chartered Accountant, ACCA, CPA
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferable
  • Possesses a strong knowledge of fund operations, including valuation, accounting, and payment procedures
  • Well versed in the MS Office suite.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Independent and able to take initiative
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-national environment
  • Ability to multi-task, solve problems and think quickly
  • Strong attention to details, highly organized and ability to notice data discrepancies in documents
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English
